Awareness Through Amusement

We KALARANG Sanskrutik Samajik Sanstha is a group of vibrant individuals passionate about using theatre (Street Plays) as a powerful tool for public awareness.

In collaboration with Information & Public Relations Govt. of Maharashtra; Regional Outreach Bureau (Maharashtra and Goa Region); Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Govt. Of India, KALARANG have carried out many activities. Over more than 15 years by performing more than 5000 street plays KALARANG have created public awareness about various government / private services, Education, Health & Hygiene, etc.

Till date KALARANG Lok Pathak have carried out campaigns in districts namely Raigad, Mumbai, Thane, Nashik etc. KALARANG have been glorified by Govt. Of Maharashtra and Govt. Of India for representing Maharashtra state in Goa, Karnataka and Jharkhand by performing Folk Art namely Lavani (लावणी) and street plays.

Enlightenment of people through entertainment in a traditional way like Gana (गण), Gavlan (गवळण), Batavani (बतावणी), Shahiri (शाहिरी) and Powada (पोवाडा).

Delivering Key information about your public welfare purpose, health related topics, important information about illness & treatments through entertaining, humorous yet effective way.

Total 40 minutes per street play; which includes, 20 minutes for gathering people and creating excitement at the place of performance; followed by 20 minutes of actual street play.
